§ 168. Assignment and transfer of enlisted personnel to the New York\nguard. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, enlisted persons\nof other forces of the organized militia may be assigned, transferred or\ndetailed to duty with the New York guard or any unit, headquarters,\nstaff or cadre thereof and such persons may be relieved or transferred\nfrom such assignment, duty or detail.\n
