§ 8. Appointments to be filed with the comptroller. All appointments\nmade under this chapter shall be filed with the respective secretary or\nclerk of the house wherein made, and certified to the comptroller by the\nappointing officer with a statement of the date of appointment and the\ncompensation. In case of the death, resignation or removal by the\nappointing officer of an officer or employee appointed by him pursuant\nto this chapter, the vacancy shall be filled by the officer making the\noriginal appointment and he shall file with the comptroller a notice of\nsuch vacancy and the name of the person appointed as successor, with the\ndate of such appointment and the compensation.\n
