§ 503. County jury board.

(a)There shall be established for each\ncounty a jury board composed as follows:\n 1. In counties outside cities having a population of one million or\nmore, except in the counties of Albany, Westchester, Suffolk and Nassau,\nthe county jury board shall consist of one justice of the supreme court\nresiding in the county, or if there is no justice residing therein, a\njustice residing in the judicial district embracing the county to be\ndesignated by the appropriate appellate division, who shall act as\nchairman; the judge of the county court, or if there be more than one,\nthen the senior county judge; and a member of the county legislature to\nbe designated by the county legislature, provided that no such member of\nthe county legislature shall be designated
