§ 281. Salary of confidential clerks to county judges of Kings,\nQueens, Erie, Nassau, Onondaga, Rockland, Dutchess and Saint Lawrence\ncounties and to special county judge of Erie county. Each of the\nconfidential clerks appointed pursuant to section one hundred\nninety-seven of this chapter by the county judges of Kings and Queens\ncounties shall receive for their services the same aggregate annual\nsalary paid to the clerks to judges of the court of general sessions of\nthe county of New York, so as to maintain a continuing equalization of\nthe gross salary and compensation paid to such clerk. Such salary or\ncompensation shall be paid by the comptroller of the city of New York,\nin equal monthly installments. The confidential clerk appointed pursuant\nto said section by the county
