§ 185. Separate office of surrogate in the counties of Chautauqua,\nNassau and Rockland. There is established a separate office of surrogate\nin the counties of Chautauqua, Nassau and Rockland. The election and\nterm of such surrogate shall be in the manner provided by section twelve\nof article six of the constitution. He shall have all the powers now\nestablished by law.\n
