§ 5107. Coverage for non-resident motorists.
(a)Every insurer\nauthorized to transact or transacting business in this state, or\ncontrolling or controlled by or under common control by or with such an\ninsurer, which sells a policy providing motor vehicle liability\ninsurance coverage or any similar coverage in any state or Canadian\nprovince, shall include in each such policy coverage to satisfy the\nfinancial security requirements of article six or eight of the vehicle\nand traffic law and to provide for the payment of first party benefits\npursuant to subsection (a) of section five thousand one hundred three of\nthis article when a motor vehicle covered by such policy is used or\noperated in this state.\n (b) Every policy described in subsection (a) hereof shall be construed\nas hav
