§ 1614 — Confidentiality of reports and filings

§ 1614. Confidentiality of reports and filings. The contents of each\nreport and filing submitted pursuant to this article and information\npertaining thereto shall be kept confidential, shall not be subject to\nsubpoena or discovery, shall not be admissible in evidence in any\nprivate civil action, and shall not be made public unless, after notice\nand opportunity to be heard, the superintendent determines that the\ninterests of policyholders, subscribers, stockholders or the public will\nbe served by the publication thereof. Neither the superintendent nor any\nperson who received a report or filing submitted pursuant to this\narticle and information pertaining thereto, through examination or\notherwise, while acting under the authority of the superintendent or\nwith whom such report or information are shared pursuant to this\nchapter, shall be permitted or required to testify in any private civil\naction concerning the report, filing, or information.\n
