§ 76. Limitation on acquisition of water rights in Westchester and\nPutnam counties. Notwithstanding the provisions of any general or\nspecial law, a municipal or other corporation not situated within the\ncounty of Westchester or the county of Putnam shall not have power to\nacquire by condemnation, for the purpose of increasing or improving the\nwater supply of any such corporation, or for supplying the inhabitants\nthereof with water, any lands, easements, streams of water, or water\nrights within the county of Westchester or the towns of Carmel and\nPutnam Valley in the county of Putnam, except that this section shall\nnot apply to the contemplated reservoir known as the Cross river\nreservoir, nor to the contemplated reservoir at or near Croton falls,\nnor to the contemplated acquis
