§ 498. Delegation of authority. The governing body of a municipality\nmay delegate to an officer or officers thereof designated by it for that\npurpose any of the authority granted to it hereby in relation to the\nissuance, amendment and cancellation of licenses, the conduct of\ninvestigations and hearings, the supervision of the operation of the\ngames and the collection and transmission of fees.\n
