§ 7 — Relationship with the state departments of health and mental hygiene

§ 7. Relationship with the state departments of health and mental\nhygiene. 1. The corporation shall upon request assist and cooperate with\nand make its personnel and services fully available to the commissioner\nof health and the department of health in matters relating to their\nresponsibilities for the approval of construction of hospital and health\nfacilities pursuant to article twenty-eight of the public health law.\nThe corporation shall also consult with the department of health in\nmatters relating to construction standards, including space\nrequirements, site plans, architectural concept, original furnishings,\nequipment, machinery and apparatus needed to furnish and equip such\nfacilities.\n 2. The corporation shall assist and cooperate with and shall make its\npersonnel and services fully available to the department and its\ncommissioners in matters relating to their responsibilities for land\nacquisition and capital planning relating to mental hygiene facilities.\nDuring the course of construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation and\nimprovement of mental hygiene facilities, the corporation shall consult\nwith personnel of the department as the work progresses in matters\nrelating to space requirements, site plans, architectural concepts, and\nsubstantial changes in the plans and specifications therefor, and in\nmatters relating to the original furnishings, equipment, machinery and\napparatus needed to furnish and equip mental hygiene facilities upon the\ncompletion of work. The department and its commissioners on their part\nshall assist and cooperate with the corporation in such matters.\n 3. The corporation shall also assist and cooperate with and shall make\nits personnel and services fully available to the office of alcoholism\nand substance abuse services in matters relating to the responsibilities\nof such office for site selection, acquisition of and capital planning\nrelating to alcoholism or substance abuse facilities. During the course\nof construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation and improvement of such\nfacilities the corporation shall consult with personnel of such office\nas the work progresses in matters relating to space requirements, site\nplans, architectural concepts and substantial changes in the plans and\nspecifications therefor and in matters relating to the original\nfurnishings, equipment, machinery, and apparatus needed to furnish and\nequip such facilities upon the completion of the work. The office of\nalcoholism and substance abuse services shall assist and cooperate with\nthe corporation in such matters.\n
