* § 846. Programs for the aging.
1.The division, in consultation with\nthe state office for the aging, shall take all necessary and appropriate\nmeasures to develop, plan, provide, and implement programs for the\nprotection of persons aged sixty and over, hereafter referred to in this\nsection as elderly persons, from situations and criminal acts which\nthreaten their safety, security, and property, within the resources\navailable to such agencies for such purposes.\n 2. Pursuant to the requirements of subdivision one of this section,\nthe division, in consultation with the municipal police training council\nand the New York state committee for the coordination of police services\nfor the elderly, shall develop an in-service training program, designed\nto address the problems associate
