§ 42. Supervision of money paid into court. The comptroller shall\nhave power, at any time, to examine the books, papers, records and\naccounts of any public office or officer of the state, or of any\nsubdivision of the state in anywise relating to moneys or securities\npaid into court or ordered by any court of record or required by statute\nto be so paid.\n
