§ 218. Installation, operation and maintenance of basic system;\npersonnel. The superintendent of state police is hereby authorized to\ninstall, operate and maintain the basic system and to employ the\nnecessary personnel, within the appropriation, for its installation,\noperation and maintenance; the persons so employed may be members of the\nstate police, or employees, particularly qualified for the duty they are\nto perform.\n
