§ 145 — Definitions

§ 145. Definitions. As used in this article, unless another meaning is\nclearly apparent in the language or context:\n 1. The term "agency" shall mean any department, board, bureau,\ncommission, division, office, council, committee or officer of the\nstate, a public benefit corporation or public authority at least one of\nwhose members is appointed by the governor.\n 2. The term "public corporation" shall mean and include a municipal\ncorporation, a district corporation, or public benefit corporation\nexcept a public benefit corporation at least one of whose members is\nappointed by the governor.\n 3. The term "person" shall mean any individual, partnership,\ncorporation, association, or public or private organization of any\ncharacter, other than an agency or public corporation.\n
