§ 39-0103. Definitions.\n The following terms, whenever used or referred to in this article,\nshall have the following meanings:\n 1. "Sewage system cleaner" means (a) any solid or liquid material\nintended or used primarily for the purpose of cleaning, treating, or\nunclogging any part of a sewage system or (b) any solid or liquid\nmaterial intended or used primarily for the purpose of continuously or\nautomatically deodorizing or disinfecting any part of a sewage system\nincluding but not limited to solid cakes or devices placed in plumbing\nfixtures. Excluded from the definition are products intended or used\nprimarily in the manual surface cleaning, scouring, treating,\ndeodorizing or disinfecting of common plumbing fixtures.\n 2. "Sewage system" means any part of a wastewater disposal system,\nincluding but not limited to all toilets, urinals, piping, drains,\nsewers, septic tanks, distribution boxes, absorption fields, seepage\npits, cesspools, and dry wells.\n 3. "Hydrocarbon chemical" means any compound composed of carbon and\nhydrogen.\n 4. "Restricted chemical material" means (a) any halogenated\nhydrocarbon chemical (aliphatic or aromatic) including but not limited\nto trichloroethane, tetrachloroethylene, methylene chloride, halogenated\nbenzenes, carbon tetrachloride, or (b) any aromatic hydrocarbon chemical\nincluding but not limited to benzene, toluene, naphthalene, or (c) any\nhalogenated phenol derivative in which a hydroxide group and two or more\nhalogen atoms are substituted onto the aromatic carbons of a benzene\nring including but not limited to trichlorophenol, pentachlorophenol, or\n(d) acrolein, acrylonitrile, or benzidine.\n 5. "Restricted geographic areas" means Nassau and Suffolk counties.\n
