§ 24-0509. Relationship to other laws.\n No provision of this article shall be deemed to remove from any local\ngovernment any authority pertaining to the regulation of freshwater\nwetlands, whether such wetlands are under the jurisdiction of the\ndepartment or a county pursuant to subdivision 4 of section 24-0501 of\nthis title, under the county, general city, general municipal, municipal\nhome rule, town, village, or any other law, provided, however, that any\nsuch regulation by a local government shall be at least as protective of\nfreshwater wetlands as the regulations in effect pursuant to the\nprovisions of this chapter or any rule or regulation promulgated\npursuant to the provisions of this article or pursuant to a local\nfreshwater wetlands protection law or ordinance adopted by
