§ 11-0914. Yearling buck protection program.\n 1. Definitions. a. An "antlered deer" is defined as a deer with at\nleast one antler measuring three inches or more in length.\n b. "Wildlife management unit" means wildlife regions as demarcated by\nthe department.\n 2. Restrictions and application. a. Any person who hunts or takes\nantlered deer under a valid permit or license during the bowhunting,\nregular and muzzleloading deer seasons is restricted to the hunting or\ntaking of antlered deer with at least one antler with at least three\npoints. Each point must be at least one inch long measured from the main\nantler beam.\n b. This program applies to all public and private land within the\nspecified wildlife management units.\n 3. Wildlife management units. These restrictions shall only apply to\nthat portion of wildlife management unit 3A south and west of state\nroute twenty-eight.\n 4. Exemptions from requirements. Hunters under the age of seventeen\nare exempt from the provisions of this section and may take any deer\nwith an antler or antlers measuring three inches or more in length.\n
