§ 4712. Powers of commissioner of education and education department.\nA school established as provided herein shall be deemed a part of the\npublic school system of the state, and shall be subject to the\nsupervision and control of the commissioner of education and the\neducation department in the same manner as other public schools, and\nshall not be subject to any of the laws of the state relating to\ncharitable or penal institutions.\n
