§ 603. Rendering accounts for conveying of prisoners. On the\nconveying of any such prisoners to the warden of such prison and upon\nreturning home, the sheriff or other person having charge of the same,\nshall make and render to the warden of the prison, an account showing\nthe distance and route traveled, the method of transportation and the\nitems of expenditure paid or incurred, allowable under section six\nhundred and two; which count shall then, be subscribed and affirmed by\nhim as true under the penalties of perjury to which shall be added the\ncertificate of the warden of such prison, setting forth the number of\nprisoners so conveyed, and the distance from such prison to the place of\ntheir conviction.\n
