§ 601-C — Felony prisoners; reimbursement for costs

§ 601-c. Felony prisoners; reimbursement for costs. Notwithstanding\nany other provision of law, in any case where a person has been\nconvicted of a felony and a sentence has been pronounced which requires\nthat he or she be committed to the custody of the commissioner, if such\nperson has not been accepted for custody by the commissioner within ten\nbusiness days of receipt of a written notification by the department\nfrom the appropriate local official that he or she is prepared to\ntransport such person to the facility designated by the department,\nprovided that there has been compliance with subdivision (a) of section\nsix hundred one of this article, and provided further that such person\nis not in need of immediate medical care requiring the availability of a\nhospital or infirmar
