§ 722-f. Annual reports. 1. A public defender appointed pursuant to\narticle eighteen-A of this chapter, a private legal aid bureau or\nsociety designated by a county or city pursuant to subdivision two of\nsection seven hundred twenty-two of this article, an administrator of a\nplan of a bar association appointed pursuant to subdivision three of\nsection seven hundred twenty-two of this article and an office of\nconflict defender established pursuant to such subdivision shall file an\nannual report with the chief administrator of the courts and the office\nof indigent legal services. (a) The county executive or chief executive officer of each county\nor, in the case of a county wholly contained within a city, such city\nshall file an annual report which specifies in detail and certifies to\nthe office of indigent legal services the total expenditures of such\ncounty or city, identifying "local funds", as defined in paragraph (c)\nof subdivision two of section ninety-eight-b of the state finance law,\nstate funds, federal funds and funds received from a "private source" as\ndescribed in subdivision two of section ninety-eight-b of the state\nfinance law, for providing legal representation to persons who were\nfinancially unable to afford counsel, pursuant to this article. Such\nannual report shall be made on a form developed for such purpose by the\noffice of indigent legal services.\n (b) Such annual report, detailing expenditures for the period January\nfirst through December thirty-first of the previous calendar year, shall\nbe filed on or before the first day of March of each year.\n
