§ 396-a. County medical assistance clinics. The local legislative body\nof each county may, by local law, establish a county clinic for the care\nand treatment of persons receiving medical assistance for the needy\npursuant to title two of article five of the social services law. All\nexpenditures incurred in connection with the location, construction and\noperation of such clinic shall be a charge upon the county and provision\nshall be made for the payment therefor by the local legislative body of\nsuch county in the same manner as in the case of other charges against\nthe county.\n
