§ 326. New York state interoperable and emergency communication board.\nThe "New York state interoperable and emergency communication board" is\nhereby established within the division of homeland security and\nemergency services. The board shall assist local governments, service\nsuppliers, wireless telephone service suppliers and appropriate state\nagencies by facilitating the most efficient and effective routing of 911\nemergency calls; developing minimum standards for public safety\nanswering points; promoting the exchange of information, including\nemerging technologies; and encouraging the use of best practice\nstandards among the public safety answering point community.\n
