§ 214-N — Treatment and sale of apple cider

§ 214-n. Treatment and sale of apple cider.

1.As used in this\nsection, the following terms shall have the following meanings:\n (a) "Apple cider" or words of similar import means a product made\nexclusively from the expressed, unfermented juice of fresh apples or\nparts thereof.\n (b) "Treat" or "treated" means any approved action or activity\nundertaken to prevent, reduce to acceptable levels, eliminate or render\nharmless a pertinent pathogen.\n (c) "Pertinent pathogens" means the most resistant microorganisms of\npublic health significance, and shall include, but not be limited to E.\nColi O157:H7 and cryptosporidium parvum.
