* § 25.33. Private right of action. Notwithstanding any right of\naction granted to any governmental body pursuant to this chapter, any\nperson who has been injured by reason of a violation of this article may\nbring an action in his or her own name to enjoin such unlawful act, an\naction to recover his or her actual damages or fifty dollars, whichever\nis greater, or both such actions. The court may award reasonable\nattorney's fees to a prevailing plaintiff.\n * NB Repealed July 1, 2026\n
