Text

A. Except as otherwise provided in Subsection C of this section, any employing unit that is or becomes an employer subject to the Unemployment Compensation Law within any calendar year shall be subject to the Unemployment Compensation Law during the whole of such calendar year. B. Except as otherwise provided in Subsection C of this section, an employing unit shall cease to be an employer subject to the Unemployment Compensation Law only as of January 1 of any calendar year if it files with the department, between January 1 and March 15 of the year in which the employing unit desires termination of coverage, a written application for termination of coverage and the secretary finds:

(1)that there was no calendar quarter within the preceding calendar year within which such employing unit pa
