A.An approved or conditionally approved preliminary plat shall expire twenty-four months after its approval or conditional approval, or after any additional period of time as may be prescribed by county regulation, not to exceed an additional twelve months. However, if the subdivider proposes to file multiple final plats as provided for under county regulations governing phased development, each filing of a final plat shall extend the expiration of the approved or conditionally approved preliminary plat for an additional thirty-six months from the date of its expiration or the date of the previously filed final plat, whichever is later.
