Text
term of office; Local Election Act. A member shall be credited an award of service to the member's service credit account: A. if, but for the shortening under the Local Election Act of a term in elected office served by the member, the member would meet the service requirement for normal retirement; and B. in the minimum amount of service credit needed for the member to meet the requirement for normal retirement, but no more than three months.
