Text

As used in this act, "telecommunications" means any transmission, emission or reception of signs, signals, writings, images and sounds or intelligences of any nature by wire, radio, optical or other electromagnetic system. With respect to telecommunications, the administration or the department, as the case may be, shall: a. Direct the consolidation and coordination of the State's telecommunications facilities in order to insure the efficient and economical use of telecommunications services by State agencies; b. Develop technical plans for and recommend communication facilities and equipment which will satisfy agency operational communications requirements; c. Conduct continuing reviews and evaluations of communication facilities and equipment used by State agencies in order to insure tha
