The board, either in the plan or through separate rules and regulations, may allow for the portability of appropriate amounts of employees' credit from similar plans maintained by employees' previous employers to the plan and from the plan to similar plans maintained by other employers. Authorizations for portability arrangements will be subject to the requirements of the similar plans of other employers and the approval of the United States Internal Revenue Service. L.1978, c. 39, s. 14, eff. June 19, 1978.
