52:13-10. Any person found to be guilty of a contempt of the legislature by a concurrent resolution of the two houses thereof, as hereinbefore provided, may be sentenced to imprisonment in the state prison or in the common jail of any county for any period not exceeding six months as shall be directed in and by the concurrent resolution determining the contempt, for the execution of which such concurrent resolution may order that a commitment shall issue, directed to any sheriff, police officer, member of the state police, or other peace officer, and to the keeper of the state prison or the keeper of the common jail of any county, which commitment shall be signed by the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of assembly in office at the date of the issue thereof. amended 2023
