Text

There is hereby established in the executive branch of the State Government a principal department which shall be known as the Department of Law and Public Safety. As used in this act, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, the words "the department" mean the Department of Law and Public Safety herein established. L.1948, c. 439, p. 1707, s. 1.
