50:1-33. Nothing contained in this Title shall be construed to prevent the catching and taking of free swimming fish from the tidal waters of this State in any lawful manner. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent or prohibit lessees from pursuing either criminal or civil actions, or both, that may be available for damage to aquaculture gear and aquatic livestock on shellfish leases. Amended 2007, c.338, s.18.
