a.There is created a Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors in the Department of Law and Public Safety consisting of nine members, hereinafter referred to as the "board." The members of such board shall be citizens of the State appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate. Members shall be appointed for terms of three years and until the appointment and qualification of their successors. Any vacancy in said board for the unexpired portion of a term shall be filled in the manner provided for the original appointment. No more than five members of the board shall be members of the same political party.
