2.There is created within the Division of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Law and Public Safety the Elevator, Escalator, and Moving Walkway Mechanics Licensing Board. Members of the board shall be appointed by the Governor. The board shall consist of seven members who are residents of the State of New Jersey. In addition to the two public members appointed to represent the interests of the public pursuant to the provisions of subsection b. of section 2 of P.L.1971, c.60 (C.45:1-2.2) and who shall be representatives of municipal government, one member shall be from a department in the Executive Branch of State Government, who shall serve without compensation at the pleasure of the Governor, and the remaining four members shall consist of the following: One individual who represents t
