13.Any recipient participating in community work experience or alternative work experience or dependent of the recipient who is provided compensation , benefits, or both by the State in the manner required pursuant to section 12 of P.L.1997, c.38 (C.44:10-66) for an injury, illness or death arising out of and in the course of the community work experience or alternative work experience shall surrender any other method, form or amount of compensation or benefits from the sponsor or the State for that injury, illness or death ; and the sponsor of the recipient, the State and the employees of the sponsor shall not be liable for the injury, illness or death for which the recipient or dependent of the recipient is provided the compensation , benefits or both, except for an intentional wrong. 13.
