§ 43:6A-47 — Provisos applicable to L.1981, c. 470

This amendatory and supplementary act is subject to the following provisos: a. Any person who has retired on or before the effective date of this amendatory and supplementary act and is receiving or is entitled to receive a pension and benefits from the retirement system, shall continue to receive the same pension and benefits or shall continue to be entitled to receive the same pension and benefits. b. Any beneficiary who is receiving a survivor's benefit or is eligible to receive a survivor's benefit as provided by the retirement system on or before the effective date of this amendatory and supplementary act, shall continue to receive or be eligible to receive the survivor's benefit. c. No person who is a member of the retirement system on the effective date of this amendatory and supplementary act shall be required to make contributions for service for which he has received credit as a judge in any of the several courts or in office, position or employment of this State or of a county, municipality, board of education or public agency of this State; provided, however, that the person shall make contributions as may be required pursuant to section 26b. of this amendatory and supplementary act.
