Text

Upon the receipt of proper proofs of the death of a member who has retired on a pension or retirement allowance based on age and service, or pursuant to section 10, there shall be paid to the member's beneficiary, an amount equal to one-fourth of the final salary received by the member. L.1973, c. 140, s. 19, eff. May 22, 1973. Amended by L.1981, c. 470, s. 12, eff. Jan. 19, 1982.
