Text

Whenever the governing body of a local unit by resolution or ordinance, as the case may be, exercises the powers granted by this chapter, it shall make or cause to be made the necessary surveys, investigations, studies, borings, maps, plans, drawings and estimates of costs and of revenues relating to the provision of flood control facilities. The obtaining of these surveys, investigations, studies, borings, maps, plans, drawings and estimates is declared to be a public purpose and the costs thereof may be paid out of the general funds of the local unit or from the proceeds of any bonds issued pursuant to this chapter.
