Text

If the clerk shall believe the petition for nomination to be defective in any particular, he shall return the same to the person accepting the nomination for correction and the petition for nomination may be corrected and returned within three days after its return by the municipal clerk. In returning the petition the clerk shall give in writing his reasons therefor.
