The council shall consist of five members, unless otherwise provided in the municipal charter, who shall serve for a term of 4 years. L.1950, c. 210, p. 473, s. 3-4, eff. June 8, 1950. Amended by L.1981, c. 465, s. 15, eff. Jan. 9, 1982.
