§ 40:20-9 — Nonpartisan ballot box; transfers.
New Jersey·Title 40 MUNICIPALITIES AND COUNTIES
40:20-9. The election provided for in section 40:20-8 of this title shall be deemed, so far as the question of the acceptance or rejection of sections 40:20-2 to 40:20-19 of this title is concerned, to be a special election, and shall be conducted by the county and district boards of registry and election in the same manner as other elections. Notice of the election shall be given at the time and in the manner required for the primary election held on the same day, and the same boxes shall be used for the purposes of this election as are to be used for the purposes of the primary election, except that there shall be provided in each polling place, in addition to the boxes provided by law, a box to be known as the "nonpartisan box".
