Text

The council shall consist of the mayor and two council members, unless pursuant to the authority granted under section 1-13 or 1-19 of article 1 of this act, or unless provided by amendment of the charter pursuant to section 7 of this amendatory act, the municipality shall be governed by a mayor and four or six council members. Members of the council shall be elected at large by the voters of the municipality and shall serve for a term of three years. L.1950, c.210, s.13-3; amended 1981,c.465,s.31; 1989,c.221,s.8.
