§ 38A:21-3 — Definitions.

38A:21-3. As used in this act, N.J.S.38A:21-1 et al.: "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Affairs; "Department" means the Department of Veterans Affairs established pursuant to this act; and "Veteran" means any person who has served in any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States for at least 90 days, except that if the term "veteran" is defined differently in any other provision of this act, any other statute, or in any federal statute, that definition shall be applicable for the purposes of those statutes.
