The purpose of the fund shall be for the receipt and administration of appropriations from the States of New York and New Jersey as provided for herein, as well as grants-in-aid and gifts of real and personal property, including money, from any source whatsoever, to be used to provide food, shelter, and clothing and to otherwise provide aid to homeless persons within the States of New York and New Jersey, in accordance with the powers vested in it, as set forth in this act. L. 1987, c. 57, s. 4.
