§ 2C:39-11 — Pawnbrokers; loaning on firearms
New Jersey·Title 2C THE NEW JERSEY CODE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
a.Any pawnbroker who sells, offers to sell or to lend or to give away any weapon, destructive device or explosive is guilty of a crime of the third degree.
b.Any person who loans money, the security for which is any handgun, rifle or shotgun is guilty of a disorderly persons offense. L.1978, c. 95, s. 2C:39-11, eff. Sept. 1, 1979. Amended by L.1979, c. 179, s. 9, eff. Sept. 1, 1979.
