If a sale of real estate governed by this chapter is adjourned for more than 1 week, notice thereof shall be published once within 1 week after the date of the adjournment in the newspapers in which the original notice of the sale was published unless the original advertisement of the sale specifically reserved the right to adjourn the sale, in which case no further notice need be published. The adjournment notice need only consist of a statement of the parties to the cause and the time and place to which the sale is adjourned. In publishing any adjournment it shall not be necessary to continue the publication of the original advertisement of the sale. L.1951 (1st SS), c.344.
