§ 2A:51-3 — Record entry of cancellation by county clerk or register of deeds and mortgages where lands transferred to another county
New Jersey·Title 2A ADMINISTRATION OF CIVIL AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Where, after the recording of any mortgage on real estate in any county in this state, the real estate so mortgaged shall, by an act of the legislature, be set off to another county or be transferred to the territorial limits thereof, and an action or other proceeding for the cancellation of such mortgage is or has been instituted in the county in which the mortgaged real estate is situate at the time of the institution of the proceeding, and a judgment or order in such proceeding is or has been made for the cancellation of the mortgage, the county clerk or register of deeds and mortgages, as the case may be, of the county in which the mortgage so canceled is of record, shall, upon the production and filing of a copy of such judgment or order for cancellation, certified to be a true copy b
