The Office of Highway Safety in the Division of Motor Vehicles in the Department of Law and Public Safety, together with its powers, functions, and duties, is transferred to the Office of Highway Traffic Safety in the Department of Law and Public Safety. All references in any law, order, rule, regulation, contract, document, judicial or administrative, or otherwise, to the Office of Highway Safety in the Division of Motor Vehicles in the Department of Law and Public Safety or the manager thereof, shall mean the Office of Highway Traffic Safety in the Department of Law and Public Safety or the director thereof. All transfers shall be made pursuant to the "State Agency Transfer Act," P.L. 1971, c. 375 (C. 52:14D-1 et seq.). L. 1987, c. 284, s. 18.
