§ 27:13A-6 — Notification of designation; agreement with county or municipality

Upon his approval of any application, the commissioner shall notify the board of chosen freeholders of the county or the governing body of the municipality, as the case may be, that the road described in the application has been designated as a State aid road and has been included in the State aid road system. Upon such notification, the commissioner shall enter into a written agreement with the county or municipality which shall specify the scope and responsibilities for the necessary planning, surveys and engineering and for the actual work and inspection thereof.
